Paju K-Culture Festival to Blend K-Pop and Traditional Games on September 12

The Gyeonggi Provincial Institute for Lifelong Education announced that the 'Paju K-Culture Festival' will be held at the Gyeonggi Future Education Paju Campus on September 12. The event promises a diverse lineup of programs where families can experience both modern K-Pop performances and traditional cultural activities in one location.

K-Pop Stars Take the Stage

One of the festival's highlights is its star-studded K-Pop concert. Vocalist Kim Tae-woo and the popular girl group CLASSy are scheduled to headline the stage, joined by the internationally acclaimed multinational idol group Eris and the dance crew BE BOYS.

The performances will also feature artists from various genres, including magician and singer Kim Min-hyung and vocalist Joo Hwang-gyu from the band Hyang.

K-Culture Programs Blending Tradition and Modernity

Visitors can engage in a variety of hands-on Korean culture programs. Available activities range from modern trends like custom keycap making to crafting traditional pollack keychains, believed to ward off bad luck.

In the traditional games zone, participants can enjoy archery, tuho (pitch-pot), large Yut nori (Playing Yut), and jegichagi (traditional shuttlecock kicking). Additionally, the festival will host over 30 K-culture programs, including K-Pop cover dance performances, trivia contests, and traditional Korean costume experiences.

The festival takes place at the Gyeonggi Future Education Paju Campus, located in Gyeonggi-do within Paju-si. This European-style venue is a well-known filming location for K-Pop survival shows, music videos, and K-dramas, offering an exotic atmosphere for the festivities.

Throughout the grounds, guests can explore stamp tours, photo booths for four-cut snapshots, and clown balloon art. The K-Food Zone will offer a variety of refreshments, including food trucks, a cafeteria, cafes, and convenience stores, alongside dedicated rest areas and nursing rooms for visitor comfort.

The 'Paju K-Culture Festival' will run on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and admission is free. While most events are open to the public, some programs may require on-site or advance registration.

To improve accessibility, the Gyeonggi Provincial Institute for Lifelong Education will operate a free shuttle bus between the Tongildongsan Park public parking lot and the venue at approximately 30-minute intervals.
